What do we do?
The GreenRock process is a brand new way to help address our plastic waste issue, and the growing lack of access to recycling. We offer our curbside recycling service to make it as convenient for you as possible. In addition, we host recycling drop-off events to help those who live outside of our service areas to have an opportunity to recycle. Using our patented process, we combine your collected plastic waste, glass, Styrofoam, and activated carbon to produce lightweight aggregates for use in concrete, landscaping features, architectural products, and more!

We offer convenient curbside recycling services to make it easy for you to responsibly dispose of your waste. Our pick-up schedule varies depending on your address. If it's plastic, glass, or metal we can probably take it! There is no need to separate your items, we just ask that everything is empty and clean. Using patented machines and processes, we use all of the plastic and glass we collect to create products for use in homes, businesses, and other construction projects. Our landscaping rock can already be seen throughout our community, as well as our pothole patching material and stepping stones. Custom landscaping rock and pavers are available!

GreenRock Statesboro currently collects over 50 tons per year of recyclable items that would otherwise go to a landfill!
What do you do?
For us, recycling is not a focus on saving the planet, but a focus on personal responsibility. We are all responsible for what we use, how we use it, and what we do with it when we’re through with it. Plastic usage is expected to triple by the year 2060. Currently, the US only recycles 5%-6% of all the plastic produced. The total generation of municipal solid waste (MSW) in 2018 was 292.4 million tons or 4.9 pounds per person per day. Of the MSW generated, approximately 69 million tons of plastic, glass, paper, cardboard, and metal were recycled - that’s less than 24% total!

What makes GreenRock different?
Comprehensive
The GreenRock process can recycle virtually all plastic with zero waste. Traditional recycling focuses primarily on just #1 and #2 plastic with a significant amount of waste.
Safe
Carbon additives ensure there is no toxic leaching. During the forming process of the aggregate, activated charcoal are incorporated. These carbon additives adsorb any chemical or toxic compound that may leach from the plastics.
Carbon Negative
Large amounts of carbon are captured within GreenRock aggregate using our proprietary carbon incorporation method. The amount of carbon sequestered in the material is greater than the amount of carbon generated during the combined phases of the GreenRock process.
Efficient
The GreenRock Recycling process has fewer steps from collection to final product, processes the plastics at lower temperatures, and uses regional facilities to cut down on transportation.
Permanent
Traditional recycling products still end up in a landfill within 2-4 years on average! Traditional recycling is only a temporary fix, while GreenRock Aggregate has an indefinite lifespan. Our products can also be recycled back into more GreenRock if they are ever damaged.
